What's on in Prague?

PRAGUE OPEN HOUSE 2017 (13.-14.5.)
The third annual festival of open buildings is here! Explore 43 interesting buildings and spaces into which you won’t normally get in. Look into modern new buildings, such as building Enterprise Office Center - the new headquarters AVAST or universal floating house PORT X. If you prefer a sip of history, visit the Invalides, the Freight Station Žižkov or corners of the Evangelical cemetery. This year you have the opportunity to visit also the Winternitz villa or experience the unusual view from the roof of the famous Fashion House on Wenceslas Square.

CZECH VR FESTIVAL(24.-25.4.)
In May 2017, Prague will become the international center of virtual and augmented reality. Many of the world´s leading experts will be in attendance. The exhibition segment of the festival will be open to public. All virtual reality fans will be welcome to try hardware and software of world renowned brands: Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, SONY Playstation VR, Google, Microsoft, Samsung and many others. Virtual reality headsets will be available, as will be simulators, making the experience even more intense.

DEEP PURPLE (22.5.)
Deep Purple announce tour "Infinite" Long Goodbye tour Deep Purple, one of the most important bands of all time, which this year was put into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Deep Purple. If you set shuffle the entire catalog of the band, the result will be one of the best musical performances in the history of rock music.

ANDRÉ RIEU (12.5.)
One of the most significant artists of our time: the Dutch violinist André Rieu is coming to Prague. His program includes best-known hits from movies, musicals, operas, rock and pop, and of course the most beautiful waltzes. Fans enthusiastically celebrate his personality, unique style and repertoire linking performance art and entertainment. As Rieu says himself “Emotions are the most important things in the world. Let us make our life choices by heart, not the head.”

International Day of Dance (29.4.)
Give in to temptation of dance euphoria on International Day of Dance in Prague. Theaters, dance studios, dance groups, schools, crews and many more are going to perform their programme to public. Legendy, a motorsport event (10.-11.6.)
A The second weekend in June is dedicated to enthusiasts of motorsport and luxury vehicles. In Bohince gardens you can admire several of the most expensive cars in one place, try rally driving with the top Czech drivers or simply enjoy the finest Italian cuisine being served up at the event. United Islands of Prague (22.-25.6.)
Unique atmosphere of music performances settled in Prague parks, river islands or downtown clubs attracts many of people every year. J&T Banka Prague Open (1.-6.5.2017)
TK Sparta tennis courts will be hosting the WTA International Women Tennis Tournament. Come and see the games of the best Czech players and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Prague’s biggest tennis tournament.

Prague Spring (8.5.-2.6.2017)
Visit the 72nd phenomenal festival of classical music which animates the whole of Prague every year. Apart from professional performances guests can look forward to amazing places where the concerts are held. We can mention for example the Rudolfinum, Lobkowicz Palace or National Technical Museum. Depeche Mode (24.5.2017)
A group which does not really need any introduction will perform in Prague in the Eden Arena. The concert is a part of a world tour promoting their new album called SPIRIT. Let’s go and sing the hits such as Enjoy the Silence or People Are People. Tickets are available here.

Prague Food Festival  (26.-28.5.2017)
Three-day gourmet festival in the beautiful ambience of the Vyšehrad neighbourhood will offer a wide selection of the best Czech menus, a varied diversity of international cuisine and an accompanying programme. Moreover every CZK 10 from each ticket goes to The Akshaya Patra Foundation whose aim is to provide at least 1 meal per day to children in India and help them with access to free education. Metronome Festival Prague (23.-24.6.2017)
This new music festival in the Holešovice district celebrates its second season and its targets are truly high. Last year’s main artist was the legendary Iggy Pop, this year Prague welcomes Sting, Kasabian and Young Fathers. More information about tickets can be found here.   

Farm Markets at Náplavka (every Saturday)
The distinctive character of the Vltava riverfront makes these Saturday markets most popular for locals as well as for tourists. Between 8am and 2pm you may buy here fresh and local food produce or you can just stop by and discover some new dishes prepared on spot.

Volkswagen Marathon weekend 2017 (6.-7.5.)
The 23rd Volkswagen Marathon Weekend Prague has become an inseparable part of the running world. Try the extremely beautiful trail of this unique running event and experience the amazing feeling of marathon conquest.


System of a Down (12.6.2017)
The legendary Californian heavy metal group brings its show to Prague where they are going to perform in front of the sold out O2 Arena. Lucky visitors can look forward to hits such as Chop Suey! or Sugar performed by group which reunited in 2010 after four years apart. 


Prague Pride (7.-13.8.2017)
Already a tradition in the second week of August, Prague will become a rainbow city and will shine in all possible colours. Prague Pride is one of the biggest European celebrations of homosexual and transgender communities - LGBT. Experience Prague in a different light and get to know more about festival programme.

Robbie Williams (19.8.2017)
There are not many better experiences than live Robbie Williams concert under the Prague sky. The award winning singer will perform in Prague as part of his 2017 world tour of 18 countries. Tickets for his performance can be bought here.

Signal festival (12.-15.9.2017)
Every October this festival of light makes Prague even more attractive than usual. Light effects placed across Prague highlight historic as well as modern city elements and offer interactive surroundings for adults and kids.
